Your Eyes Deserve Some Real Lovin’ Too!
I rise up to another working day, still in my PJ’s, awakened by the aroma of coffee in my cup and a hundred emails waiting for my response, as if it’s a test of how good my eyes are at 7:30 in the morning. This is the truth for all work-from-home employees and this is the new normal.
Also, from prolonged sitting, we experience muscle pains, fatigue and eye strains. Just like you, your eyes get exhausted too and if you don’t listen to your body, it might send you a message right when it’s “URGENT”. However, we already know better.
Almost everything we need to know is already made available online including eye tests. There are several sites and sources that can provide vision checks or simple vision exercises. Nevertheless, those tests are inconclusive and if you’re the type of person who relies only on trusted providers, it is best to consult trained and competent optometrists to have your eyes checked.
The current situation makes us more attentive to our body’s needs and more cautious when it comes to our health, more so with our eye health. We need to have our eyes checked regularly to check for signs of eye disease or conditions that may affect not just our vision but our overall health. If you are experiencing frequent headaches, light sensitivity, irritations, blurry vision and difficulty in seeing clearly, they may be caused by changes to your vision, which is a clear indication that you should have your eyes checked.
You can send some love to your virtual colleagues and friends but your eyes deserve some real lovin’. So go ahead, love your eyes and have your eye check up with your trusted optometrist today.
